OneDrive is a cloud-based storage application, it is fantastic for syncing documents, photos, notes etc. between devices as well as functioning as an off-site backup. The free plan offers 5GB of storage, but further upgrades are available for reasonable prices. The sweet spot for the premium plan is the one included with an office 365 subscription, which offers all the Office programs as well as 1TB of OneDrive storage. It is worth checking if you have Office 365 (sometimes provided by schools) as you will already be able to reap the OneDrive benefits. Keep in mind that if you are planning on storing anything like lecture videos then you will most likely, quickly exceed the free storage plans unless you continually delete older files.

TripMate is quite possibly the best transportation/travel app available, delivering the most accurate real-time bus/train/tram data. It can automatically detect which bus stop you are at (or closest to) and show you the times of all available, and most efficient buses/routes, or those only suiting your destination. Additionally, the app has aesthetically pleasing and concisely presented views for all stops, routes and favourites.
The only downfall of the application is the fact that it is only available for android, Google Maps is a strongly recommended and free alternative.
